TRAINING COURSE

Definition:

BA Islamic Teaching and Cultural Geography is a program through which students are familiarized with technical course units and over successful completion of course units they will be awarded with BA Islamic Teaching and Cultural Geography.

Objectives:

Familiarizing learners with the fundamental Islamic viewpoints and strengthening students’ religious and knowledge-based foundations
Developing students’ skills in the area of cultural geography due to the importance of this knowledge in the development of the world particularly in the field of Islamic culture and civilization
Creating the learners’ abilities and skills in practical and basic researches within the area of cultural geography
Expanding students’ abilities in order to get prepared for dissemination in cultural and scientific fields taking advantage of their knowledge in the field of cultural geography
Preparing students to continue their studies in postgraduate levels

Importance and necessity

Al-Mustafa International University, addressing the education of non-Iranian applicants, has a great responsibility for Islamic education and possesses a proper situation for the field of geography, hence running such program entitled ‘’Islamic teaching and cultural geography’’ seemed necessary. The students, with their knowledge of fundamentals and principles of Islam, get prepared to apply their skills in geographical science and take effective steps in teaching and disseminating Islam.

Course Units:

-There are a total of 175 credits to be studied in this program; the majority of the modules are theoretical which are offered with an emphasis on research.

Role and effectiveness:

The graduates of the program will be experts in the followings areas and act as knowledgeable disseminators in the field of cultural geography:

Researching on the rules behind creation, development and expansion of the factors shaping the natural and human-based environments which are created based on the dynamic relation of man and environment
Achieving and providing geographical developments with the acquired geographical techniques and knowledge (maps, aerospace and satellite images, geographical data systems and data processing)
Predicting and finding solution for future problems and leading geographical teams, particularly cultural and political geography, with the aim of solving problems, organizing a proper environment for social life and improving environment and culture within the framework of practical geography, helping develop rural, urban, and regional plans
