TRAINING COURSE

Definition:

MA Islamic Principles and Teachings is a specialized program during which students deeply learn relevant course units. Over successful completion of the program, students are conferred MA Islamic Principles and Teachings.

Major Goals:

Instructing lecturers in the field of Islamic Principles and Teachings
Instructing researchers within the field
Instructing disseminators
Preparing distinct students to enter doctoral programs

Educational Policies:

Encouraging research-based studies (by allocating a minimum of 30 per cent of credits to research work)
Learning Islamic viewpoints and different arguments in this regard
Developing students skills in writing, teaching and translating
Internalizing moral and spiritual values in students
Having attention to students regional needs

Admission:

Graduates of the second level of seminary schools can apply for the program.

Note: Applicants with other backgrounds shall pass the interview and the pre-requisite course units before starting the program

Program structure and duration:

The program contains 58 credits, which are studied in 5 semesters. In each semesters students can take up and pass a maximum of 16 credits
Each theoretical credit takes 16 hours and each practical one takes 32 hours
Students are required to present a dissertation at the end of the program which is calculated as 4 credits towards the total credits.

Importance and necessity:

The importance of learning religious beliefs and religious teachings is clear for all of us. Besides, we need to pay attention to questions raised about Islam by the enemies and we need to be able to provide answer to such questions through conducting rigorous studies of Islamic sources. Accordingly, running the Islamic Principles and Teachings program becomes necessary.

Role and effectiveness:

The graduates of the program are specialized in the field of Islamic Principles and Teachings and with their skills and knowledge they can become researchers, disseminators and lectures in the field of beliefs and by doing so they play an effective role in elevating the original Islamic culture. .
