Definition: The PhD Quran and Sciences is the highest academic and specialized program in the field of commentary of Quran which attends to modern sciences. Students carry out a collection of research works as well as taught courses and after successful completion of the program they receive PhD in Comparative Hadith Studies. Admission: Students are selected from relevant MA graduates. The process of admission is based on the Admission General and Specific Regulations. Note (1):Students with other academic backgrounds must pass the prerequisites according to the regulations. Importance and Necessity: Analyzing interdisciplinary subjects is one of the necessities of our time; particularly the relation of the Quran and experimental Sciences and the Humanities. Through such analysis, the fundamentals of the Humanities can be organized by using the Quranic teachings and on the other hand, the Quran can be better understood using the developments of experimental Sciences. Role and Effectiveness: The Quran and Sciences interdisciplinary program plays a specific part in expansion of Humanities courses as well as commentary of the Quran program and producing knowledge in the mentioned fields. It helps students to get a better understanding of Quran commentary and set forward academic theories based on teachings of the Quran, it is particularly effective in some fields namely, Politics, Pedagogical Studies, Management and Economics.
