Definition: The BA Islamic Teachings and Politics program is one of the programs presented in the MIU and the participating students will receive their BA in Islamic Teachings and Politics after successful completion of the modules. Objectives: 1. Strengthening the religious and spiritual principles of the students and teaching seminary courses (equal to BA level); 2. Guiding students toward the modern sciences and making their knowledge and skills up-to-date 3. Instructing researchers and experts in politics focusing on principles and teachings of religion 4. Increasing the dissemination and pedagogical skills of the students and equipping them with the modern language; 5. Preparing students for advancing to upper educational levels in Islamic Teachings and Politics 6. Developing critical skills of the students against the occidental principles and reflections; 7. Preparing the groundwork for students to develop software in Islamic and political fields. Program Structure: The BA Islamic Teachings and Politics program is studied over 5 years.The program is credit-based.Each theoretical credit is 16 hours which is studied in a 16-week semester. Course Units:There are a total of 177 credits in the BA Islamic Teachings and Politics program. The major parts of the credits are theoretical and research-based which are presented during the teaching time. The credits are divided into four categories as: a. Seminary course units b. Role and Effectiveness: This program provides the non-Iranian students with the principles and bases of the Politics and prepare the grounds for them to deepen their knowledge in this field under the auspicious of religious teachings.Through the skills and knowledge developed during the program, students can better carry our dissemination and defend the pure Islam of the Prophet Mohammad (s.a) and introduce His religion. They can also advance to postgraduate level and be pioneer in research related activities and based on the Islamic resources analyze and explain the Islam political theory. They are capable of working in academic and political institutions and play an effective part in expansion and elevation of Islamic culture and the school of the Ahl-e Bayt (a.s).
