Definition: The BA Russian Language and Culture program is designed for the students to learn about the Russian language and culture and over successful completion of the course the students receive BA in Russian Language and Culture. Program’s General Objectives: Relative proficiency in the language skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing) according to the structure of Russian language Developing the skill of translation so that the students be able to translate the texts the society needs Developing the qualifications needed for teaching Russian language and researching skills Familiarizing learners with customs, culture and the language of Russia in order to expand cultural relations with Russia Training experts in the field of Russian culture and the country Program Structure: There are a total of 136 credits plus some prerequisite credits in the BA Russian Language and Culture program which is studied over 5 years (10 semesters). The program is credit-based The theoretical and practical credits are 16 and 32 hours respectively Course Units:
