TRAINING COURSE

Definition:

The MA Islamic Mysticism program is a specialized course; during which students acquire a deep knowledge of the modules and over successful completion of the program they receive MA in Islamic Mysticism.

Program’s General Objectives:

Training lecturers
Training researchers in the field of mysticism
Training disseminators
Note: Disseminator here means someone who delivers the message of religion
Instructing talented students to advance to doctoral level

Educational Goals and Policies:

Creating the spirit of research in students through allocating 30% of the credits to research works
Developing Critical understanding of the subjects related to mysticism
Developing the skills at authoring, teaching and translating in the field of mysticism
Developing the ability of utilizing technical texts in mysticism
Allocating a minimum 50% of the credits to seminary course units in order to strengthen the spiritual traits in students
Internalizing moral and spiritual characters in students
Having attention toward the regional needs of the students

Admission:

The students should hold BA in Islamic Mysticism.

Note: Students who do not hold BA in Islamic Mysticism should pass the prerequisites if they aim to do MA Islamic Mysticism

Program Structure:

There are a total of 64 credit units studied over 5 semesters. (Maximum credits presented per semesters are 14)
Theoretical credits are16 hours studied over 16-week semesters
Students should submit a dissertation at the end of the program which accounts for 4 credits.

If necessary, the faculties can make some courses for some students as compulsory
The faculties can have 6 credits as prerequisites and present them
The courses market with (*) are elective and students should pass 10 of them
The questions considered in developing syllabus for regional needs are political and social issues, Quranic and tradition subjects and philosophical questions.
