Islamic Education - Higher Diploma The Aims: a. Expansion and publication of Islamicteachings originated from the Quran and the Imams’ sayings and confrontingcultural, political and social invasions waged by the so called East and Westagainst the Islam world. The course will raise cultural, moral and Islamictraining awareness of Muslims particularly the young generation and familiarizesthem with the teachings of Ahle Bayt (a.s(. b. Fulfilling the strong need of Islamiccommunities for Islamic teachings and culture c. Training committed and devotedexperts to teach Islamic teachings in different countries and ease shortage oflecturers and teachers familiar with Islamic teachings and principles. d. Training Muslim disseminators so asto expand Islamic teachings and culture internationally. e. Training researchers, experts, authors and translators in the field of Islamic studies and teachings ProgramStructure The credit-based programis studied over 12 to 24 months. Each year contains 2 semesters and eachsemester covers 16 weeks. Students pass a total of 98 credits. Each credit hour for theoretical, practicaland vocational is one, two and three hours per week respectively. The ordinancesfor selecting and dropping course units and other regulation that apply to theprogram are based on the Educational Laws passed by the Planning Council. Effectiveness: On completion of thecourse and according to their talents and interests, the students learn a seriesof practical, theoretical and empirical knowledge upon Islamic teachings andlaws; they will be able to attend the classesand ease shortages regardingIslamic teachings and laws in different countries, institutions, academic andcultural centers particularly when it comes to the education sector of thecountries. The students can therefore lay the grounds for expansion of Islamicbeliefs and improvement of people’s viewpoints toward Islam as well asdevelopment of the language of Islam (Farsi(.
